The year 2022 became a great start of the ALFAwetlands project, aiming at improvement of the geospatial knowledge base of wetland, evaluation of pathways of wetland restorations and provision of information and indicators for sustainability to maximize climate change mitigation, biodiversity and other benefits.
This ALFAwetlands starting year was full of interesting discussions and planning activities, which helped the project partners to get to know each other better and become a powerful team. The team, which is ready to protect wetlands, exchange experience and discover new ways of wetlands restoration. We are glad to state that the majority of internal and external communication channels were established, which means that the project team has effective ways to showcase ALFAwetlands results on a daily base. Besides, project partners already launched outdoor awareness raising workshops on the project sites.

After the New Year’s Eve celebrations, the project team will be ready to continue the four and a half years journey for benefits of wetlands and humans!
