ALFAwetlands Midterm Conference in Austria

ALFAwetlands Midterm Conference just finished at the Austrian-Hungarian Living Laboratory site! Its main location was the Neusiedl See – Seewinkel National Park Visitor Center in Illmitz, Austria. Conference included Field trips to the Hungarian and Austrian sites. In addition, ALFAwetlands Living Lab Open Day and the Living Labs Photo Exhibition were conducted!

ALFAwetlands project is particularly important for Austria, since it contributes to the country´s Peatlands Strategy implementation, which has the aim to jointly develop new ways of preserving peatlands.

During the Conference ALFAwetlands partners presented their current research results, planned further tasks implementation and discussed with the local stakeholders further cooperation as well as learnt more about restoration and other research project at Neusiedl Lake.
